PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clearance blocking device having a simple structure at low cost suitable for the device provided in an opening/closing body. SOLUTION: A tip part in which a cap 9 of a detection body 3 is pressed protrudes from a front end face of a sliding door by a spring 8 before moving on the sliding door. Although a magnet 4d of a blocking body 4 is attracted to the detection body 3 as a result of application of magnetic force to a rear part 6a<SB>3</SB>of a movable piece 6 of the detection body 3, the protruding tip part retracts in a cover 5 of the detection body 3 when the blocking body 4 moves on the sliding door and is abutted on a door stop column. A cut-out channel 6a<SB>1</SB>forming a non-magnetic part of the movable piece 6 moves to a position where it opposes to the magnet 4d of the blocking body 4. Consequently, attraction is released, and the blocking body 4 swings by gravity acting on the blocking body using its hinge piece 4c as axis and hangs down on a floor surface to block a clearance caused between a lower end part of the sliding door and the floor surface.
