PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator for a wheel chair with a narrow installation occupied area, capable of passing a table part such that the wheel chair is retreated in a direction different from an advancement direction to the table part in the elevator for the wheel chair. SOLUTION: The elevator is constituted such that an operation means for standing or falling/standing a bridge is mounted to one side edge of the lifting table part having a size capable of at least riding the wheel chair and the bride allowing convenient getting on/off to the table part is mounted to the neighborhood to the operation means mounting side of the side edge adjacent to the side edge. Further, in the elevator, a corner slope allowing passing from one side edge of the table part to a side edge direction adjacent to the side edge is mounted to the side edge at a side far from the operation means of the bridge. Thereby, when the wheel chair gets on the table part or gets off from the table part, the wheel chair can get on/off at an upper surface of the corner slope and the bridge while changing the direction of the wheel chair.
