PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forming die for a metallic component of a headrest, a method for manufacturing the metallic component of the headrest, which facilitates press working and enhances strength of the component, and a pressing device therefor. SOLUTION: In the forming die 10 for forming the metallic component of the headrest by press working, a flat portion and a curved face are provided in the longitudinal direction of a metallic solid bar. Notches 18a-18e are formed on the curved face. The forming die 10 is placed and fixed on a first holding section 30 and second holding sections 32a and 32b, and punches 34a-34e are lowered under pressure so that recesses are formed in the cylindrical metallic component 20 by the notches 18a-18e. Then the cylindrical metallic component 20 is turned so that the cylindrical metallic component 20 is separated from the first holding section 30 and the second holding sections 32a and 32b.
