It is intended to provide an influenza virus-infection inhibitor which contains a sialylgalactose group-binding peptide (for example, a ganglioside GM3-binding peptide) as the active ingredient. More specifically speaking, it is intended to provide an influenza virus-infection inhibitor which contains the following sialylgalactose group-binding peptide (a) or (b) as the active ingredient. (a) A peptide comprising an amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:1 or 2. (b) A peptide containing an amino acid sequence derived from an amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:1 or 2 by deletion, substitution or addition of one to several amino acids and having an activity of binding to sialylgalactose group.
