A slaughtered body tilting device facilitating, even in a vertically narrow space, spinal cord removal operation for a slaughtered body suspended with the head part thereof facing downward and installed in a spinal cord removing device for suckingly removing spinal cord from the inside of the vertebra of a meat domestic animal, comprising a column (21), a tilted member (23) swingably installed on the column (21) and having a contact part (25a) allowing the slaughtered body to abut thereon, and a second cylinder (29) for swinging the tilted member (23) in the tilting direction relative to a vertical direction by raising the lower end of the tilted member (23). The tilted member (23) further comprises an internal member (24) and an external member (25). The entire part of the tilted member (23) can be extended by displacing the both members (24) and (25) relative to each other in the longitudinal direction from their overlapped position.
