A recording/reproduction device (100) dubs program data stored in an HD (171), for example, to a DVD (181) by using dubbing control means of a CPU (240). When recording/reproduction display means of the CPU (240) recognizes an input operation to perform a process other than dubbing during dubbing, it performs the process other than dubbing accordingly. When power supply control means of the CPU (240) recognizes that the dubbing is complete, it judges whether a process other than dubbing is in progress. When the power supply control means judges that no process other than dubbing is in progress, it outputs supply interrupt information to request for stop of power supply to power supply means (230). On the other hand, if the power supply control means judges that a process other than dubbing is in progress, it outputs supply continuation information to request for continuation of power supply to the power supply means (230).
