A portable edition device (1) includes a substantially rectangular main body (10), a cover (30) having a main surface (31) of shape substantially identical to a main surface (11) of the main body (10), and a connection section (40) for rotatably connecting the main body and the cover. The main body has memory card slots (15, 16) for mounting memory cards (2A, 2B). The cover has a display panel (35), where an image A (36A) and an image B (36B) to be edited are displayed. At the center of the main surface of the main body, a rotary operation section (21) is arranged in such a manner that it can move in the longitudinal direction. By sliding the rotary operation section, one of the memory cards (2A, 2B) is selected to switch the object to be edited.
