PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data input support device with a copy (or cut) & paste function capable of leaving data with high paste frequency on a clip board as much as possible.

SOLUTION: In a table L3 showing the order of character data ranked and stored in the clip board, for example, character data "drinking party" ranked to the fifth are selected by a user's paste instruction, processing for ranking the order of the character data "drinking party" to the highest order as shown in a table L4 is performed.
