摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flue gas desulfurization method efficiently achieving stable and high desulfurization performance in a flue gas desulfurization method recovering sulfur oxides in flue gas as sulfuric acid, using an activated carbon-based honeycomb catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: Several catalyst layers 2 are provided with vertical spaces in a desulfurization tower 1. The height of each catalyst layer 2 is set to 1-5m. Each catalyst layer 2 is composed by laying the activated carbon-based honeycomb catalyst to have spaces in the vertical direction. At least one of industrial water and dilute sulfuric acid aqueous solution containing sulfuric acid formed in the desulfurization process, is introduced to the upper parts of the respective catalyst layers 2 by a pipe 5, and continuously or intermittently sprayed through spray nozzles 6 over the catalyst layers 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
