AUTOMATIC RAINFALL SAMPLER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic rainfall sampler capable of easily transported by a simple constitution, requiring no commercial power supply and capable of automatically sampling a rainfall at every constant time.

SOLUTION: The automatic rainfall sampler is equipped with a storage container 12 for housing the rainfall falling from a rainfall receiving funnel 11, a plurality of sample preserving containers 13 connected to the base 12a of the storage container 12 through sampling pipes 12d and the drain pipe 14 connected to the base 12a of the storage container 12 and equipped with an on-off valve 14a and the sample preserving containers 13 are composed of syringes. The piston 13b of each of the syringes is energized in a sucking direction by each of springs 13c and locked by each of locking pawls 13f in a state that a content amount is zero. Further, this rainfall sampler is equipped with solenoids 13i for respectively opening the lock pawls 13f of the respective sample preserving containers 13 and a timer means 16 for operating the solenoids and the on-off valves 14a at a predetermined time.
