摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the production cost of a flow controlling device which is equipped with a relief mechanism for protecting an oil pump and keeps a housing clear of a passage through which oil pressure of a metering orifice downstream side is introduced to a spool rear chamber. <P>SOLUTION: A preassembled relief valve subassembly 40 is employed as the relief mechanism contained in a spool 20 of the flow controlling device. A top end portion 41a of a valve casing 41 of the relief valve subassembly is press-fitted and attached in an attachment hole 21 opened toward the spool rear chamber 32 of the spool 20 so that a space where a valve element 43 within the valve casing is received communicates with a bypass passage 13. The passage 27 formed in a rod section 25 introduces the pressure having passed the metering orifice 35 through the outside of the relief valve subassembly to the spool rear chamber. The valve casing is received in a reception hole 21a formed in the spool, and a cylindrical space 47 formed between the valve casing and the reception hole is used as part of a path connecting the passage to the spool rear chamber. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p>
