PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet apparatus which can sufficiently perform an anti-thickening operation for properly maintaining the property of ejection of a liquid droplet, even if a thickened state of meniscus of a liquid is uneven. SOLUTION: This liquid jet apparatus is equipped with a head member 4 with a nozzle opening 17. The liquid of the nozzle opening 17 can be jet by a liquid jet means. Thickening of the liquid of the nozzle opening 17 is recovered by a recovery means. The recovery means is a flushing means for performing flushing processing for continuously ejecting the liquid of the nozzle opening 17 as microdroplets. The liquid jet means drives a pressure generating means in accordance with a liquid jet signal; the flushing means drives the pressure generating means in accordance with a flushing driving signal; and the flushing driving signal is individually generated separately from the liquid jet signal.
