PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adjusting mechanism for adjusting an inclination angle or a position to the optical axis of an optical system for white light of the optical axis of an optical system for excitation light in a light source unit equipped with the optical system for excitation light which is ejected to an optical path synthesis element by converting the excitation light ejected from the excitation light source into a parallel light. SOLUTION: When a knob 351a of a first adjusting member 351 is rotated, a crank plate 352b of a second adjusting member 352 rotates and slides in a second slit 354b of a plate-like lever 354, a crank plate 351b of the first adjusting member 351 pushes down or pushes up a first slit 354a of the plate-like lever 354 to a frame plate 30a, and the plate-like lever 354 rotates around the central axis of a cylindrical protuberance. Thus, the optical axis Ax2 of a collimate lens 35 rotates around the central axis, and in a dichroic mirror 36 and subsequent ones, the inclination angle for white light of the optical axis Ax2 of the dichroic mirror 36 to the optical axis Ax1 of the optical system is changed.
