PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolytic capacitor with a reduced leakage current and to provide a manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: A solid electrolytic capacitor 100 has a structure in which an anode 1, dielectric layer 2, electrolyte layer 3 and cathode 4 are formed in this order on the surface of an anode 1. Wherein the dielectric layer 2, that is composed of highly insulating niobium oxide mainly containing niobium and oxygen, is formed as to cover the surface of the anode 1 that is composed of a porous sinter of niobium. A cathode terminal 6 is connected to the cathode 4 through conductive adhesive, and an anode terminal 7 is connected to an anode lead 1a of the anode. Further, an outer packaging resin 8 is molded in such a manner that the respective ends of the cathode terminal 6 and the anode terminal 7 can lead out to the outside. The dielectric layer 2 is composed of a first dielectric layer 21 which is formed on the positive electrode 1 and contains fluorine, and a second dielectric layer 22 which is formed on the first dielectric layer 21 and contains phosphorus or sulfur. In the first dielectric layer 21, the concentration of fluorine decreases from the positive electrode 1 side to the second dielectric layer 22 side. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
