PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stainless frame construction for a motor vehicle. SOLUTION: A motor vehicle having a stainless body has a stainless space frame structure or a space frame structure and flat body components fixed to the space frame structure. The space frame structure and the flat body components are mainly made of stainless steel, light metal alloys, and/or plastics. The motor vehicle has a corrosion-resistant vehicle body where the space frame structure or the most part of the surface of the vehicle body does not include anti-corrosion coating or anti-corrosion painting. A method of manufacturing the motor vehicle includes the steps of: manufacturing the space frame structure by joining and/or welding together stainless steels; and mounting flat body components and/or panel components made of light metals, plastics, or stainless steels to form the vehicle body.
