PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical filter which can be directly pasted onto a plasma display panel, adds impact resistance to the plasma display panel and has superior transparency. SOLUTION: The optical filter is to be directly pasted on a display surface of the plasma display panel, and has an antiimpact layer having a Shore D hardness of <65. The antiimpact layer has an internal haze of 0.1 to 3.0%, and a thickness of 0.5 to 3.0 mm. The destruction energy by an impact test conducted for the plasma display panel is equal to or greater than 0.5 J when the optical filter is pasted onto the plasma display panel.
