VIBRATION DAMPING STRUCTURE OF BRAKE BLOCK AND BRAKE DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damping structure of a brake block and a brake device capable of reducing the noise at braking with a simple structure without changing an existing equipment structure. SOLUTION: A contact part 16 stably suppresses the backlash which occurs in the brake block 13 owing to the restriction of the brake block 13 to reduce an oscillating of the brake block 13. The contact part 16 is provided with projections 16a to 16d formed by convexly working the surface of a brake block head 14 at a contact side with a brake block rear surface 13b. A weight part 17 suppresses the vibration from occurring by increasng the mass of the brake block head 14, and prevents the noise from amplifying resulting from that the brake device 5 resonates with the brake block 13. The weight part 17 is arranged at the lower side of the brake block head 14 not so as to interfere with a brake block hanger 8, and mounted in a side surface of the brake block head 14 at the opposite side (outside the width direction of a vehicle) to a flange 4d of a wheel 4a with a fixing member such as a bolt, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
