摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a a method for reducing a cycle time of arc welding by a welding robot. SOLUTION: A control method for a welding system for performing arc welding by moving a robot having a welding torch at the front end of its wrist part according to a taught, planned weld-line comprises the steps of commanding a start of welding to a welding power source at a first predetermined time before the arrival of the robot at a welding start point (B1), moving the robot to the welding start point (B2), moving the robot according to the taught and estimated weld-line (B3), and continuing the movement of the robot when a signal confirming the generation of an arc is received from the welding power source before a second predetermined time after the arrival of the robot at the welding start point elapses.
