In vehicle production the door (1) is at first joined to the body (2) in order to paint the whole unit and then removed again temporarily for an unrestricted working at components inside the body (2). One of the joint elements connecting door (1) and car body (2) comprises one element (6) closer to the door (1) and a second element (16) closer to the body (2), both attached to each other with adapter elements (16, 19) and secured with locking pins (20) guided through transversal bores located at the affected parts.
