<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a take-up reel capable of preventing the loss of the planarity of the edge surface of a tape wound on a reel even in repeated use. <P>SOLUTION: The take-up reel for a tape drive is provided with a means for attaching a single reel magnetic tape cartridge, and a take-up reel for taking up the magnetic tape. The take-up reel is provided with a hub having a means for connection to the tape drive, and a flange fixed to its upper and lower sides.
