<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor system for easily and accurately confirming the sensing area of a sensor, without needing a means for generating light or sound on an MW sensor and needing a plurality of workers. <P>SOLUTION: The sensor system modifies a pulse interval of a carrier wave carrying microwaves from the MW sensor 1, when the MW sensor 1 emits, and when it does not emit. When confirming the sensing area, the workers carry receivers receiving a transmission wave from the MW sensor 1.
