PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a taxi calling system whereby a taxi can quickly be called. SOLUTION: The taxi calling system 10 includes a communication function using an adhoc network 12 and is provided with: a taxi mounted apparatus 40 mounted on a taxi; and a mobile terminal 20 including a communication function using the adhoc network 12 and forming the adhoc network 12 together with the taxi mounted apparatus 40. The mobile terminal 20 transmits a call request for calling a taxi to the taxi mounted apparatus 40 via the adhoc network 12, and the taxi mounted apparatus 40 receives the call request via the adhoc network 12 and transfers the call request to other taxi mounted apparatus 40 in the adhoc network 12. Further, the taxi mounted apparatus 40 transmits a call response denoting the acceptance of the call request to the mobile terminal 20 via the adhoc network 12 and the taxi is called by the mobile terminal 20 for receiving the call response.
