PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method or a device for resetting the stream, corresponding to desired voice language and title language, when the user operates a language set key in accordance with a navigation command recorded on a DVD disc. SOLUTION: The DVD reproducer having a language-setting unit comprises a means of initially setting the language of a title and a voice to be reproduced, a means of reading in a plurality of language streams of a title and a voice recorded on a DVD medium from the DVD medium, a means of selecting one of a plurality of language streams thus read in according to an initially set language for the purpose of reproduction, a means of storing information of language stream of selected title and voice, and a language-setting unit for selecting one of the plurality of language streams of a title and a voice thus read, in accordance with the language streams of a title and a voice, corresponding to the language stream stored by the storage means for the purpose of reproduction.
