PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a band saw type cutting device surely cutting an workpiece. SOLUTION: The band saw type cutting device 10 is composed by winding an endless band saw blade 32 around a pair of horizontally arranged sheaves 30, 30. The workpiece 12 is vertically cut by lowering a pair of the sheaves 30, 30 while circumferentially traveling the band saw blade 32 by rotating the sheave 30. Guide rails 44, 44 are horizontally extended from the lower region of the band saw blade 32. A table 42 is freely slidably supported by the guide rails 44, 44.
