PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic endoscope apparatus capable of diagnosing the deep alimentary canal by ultrasound. SOLUTION: In the present invention, a specified length of an inserting part 14 of the endoscope and an over tube 70 are inserted into the intestinal canal 90, and after the first balloon 28 and the second balloon 82 are tightly attached to the intestinal wall by inflating the both balloons 28 and 82, the bent intestinal canal 90 is constricted straightly by pulling the inserting part 14 and the over tube 70 at the same time. After that, the tip of the inserting part 14 is inserted deeply into the intestinal canal by deflating the first balloon 28. When the tip of the inserting part 14 reaches the targeted part, water is supplied into the third balloon 58 from a medium supplying part 58, and the ultrasonic diagnosis is started by tightly attaching the third balloon 58 to the intestinal canal 90 and operating the ultrasonic oscillator 54.
