PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fireproof compartment system of a tunnel adaptable to any cross sectional shape. SOLUTION: A fire wall 9 having a same cross section as the inside cross section of the tunnel 5 is provided in the central part of a passage of the tunnel 5, generally the fire wall 9 is positioned in parallel to the passage and, at the occurrence of a fire, is turned by 90°relative to the passage to form the fireproof compartment by the fire wall 9.
