PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an isocyanate compound having less coloring, industrially advantageously. SOLUTION: This method for producing the isocyanate compound by introducing phosgene into an organic solvent solution of the carbonate salt of a corresponding amine compound and reacting the carbonate salt of the amine compound with phosgene is provided by starting the introduction of phosgene into the organic solvent solution of the carbonate at or lower than a temperature of decomposing the carbonate.
