The method of arc broad-zoned hard-facing consists in the displacement of arc by the end of tape for hard-facing by transverse magnetic field. The time of displacement of arc from one edge of tape to another is divided into the periods, which consist of three assigned time intervals, during which the surface subject to facing is consecutively heated, and the electrode tape is fused by fixed arc, the deposited section is cooled, and the arc is moved to the adjacent section.
