A method for production of siliceous micro- and mesoporous sorbent includes the preparation in water of cation surfactant and silicic (meta) sodium, mixing obtained solutions by introduction by drops of surfactant solution into the aqueous solution of silicic (meta) sodium, mixing the mixture of these solutions, the filtration of sediment, its washing with water, the desiccation of sediment at room temperature, drying in air. Into diluted aqueous solution of silicic (meta) sodium is introduced concentrated micellar in the area of existence of lamellar micelles aqueous solution of surfactant, moreover, obtained sediment is subjected to hydrothermal treatment under certain conditions. The invention ensures improvement of structural characteristics of micro- and mesoporous sorbent, which leads to increase of the sorption capacity and specific surface area of material.
