<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower a height of a ridge part around an oil reservoir recessed part to improve initial fitting property and seizure resistance in a sliding member such as a sliding bearing. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of holes 7 are formed by a fiber laser device on a sliding face with a mating material.
