<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller of a hybrid vehicle in which a drive motor, and the like, can be protected by reducing waste of a battery while ensuring a required sufficient driving force even when the hybrid vehicle runs into stall state. <P>SOLUTION: When action of an accelerator and a brake is detected and the detection value from a motor output detecting means is not lower than a set value, motor output is lowered gradually based on a predetermined motor output lowering rate.
