<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blade for a vertical shaft type windmill, and a vertical shaft type windmill, in which a long and large blade can be formed as split in the blade length direction when manufactured, so that manufacturing cost including that on blade manufacturing facilities can be reduced, and in which transportation is easier because of the split blade, so that windmill construction cost can be reduced, with site conditions related to construction of the windmill eased. <P>SOLUTION: In this blade for a vertical shaft type windmill, the blade is supported by a blade support member to a vertical rotation shaft. The blade 12 is formed to be split around a point where bending moment generated at the blade 12 is 0. Since theoretically, no bending load is generated at the part of the blade 12 where the bending moment is 0, structural strength to the bending load is not necessary, thereby the blade can be separated and jointed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
