摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing reflector by which a reflector whose reflecting surface can precisely be formed and has high light use efficiency can be manufactured, the reflector manufactured by the method, a luminaire with the reflecting mirror, and a projector with the luminaire. <P>SOLUTION: A sub-reflector 30 is manufactured through a thickening stage of heating a center part 6a of a quartz glass tube 6 and pushing both ends of the quartz glass tube 6 toward the center for shrinkage to thicken the center part 6a, a swelling stage of forming a swelled part 6b by swelling the thickened center part 6a by putting the quartz glass tube 6 after the thickening stage in a mold 80 having internal surfaces 81a and 81b formed in a reflecting surface shape to be formed on the sub-reflector 30 and injecting gas from both the ends of the quartz glass tube 6, a cutting stage of cutting the quartz glass tube 6 at least at the center part of the swelled part 6b, and a vapor-depositing stage of forming a reflecting surface 32 by vapor-depositing a reflecting film on the external surface of the swelled part 6b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p>
