<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reducing method of amount of biological sludge generated by active sludge treatment of waste water in a sewage treatment plant and a waste water treatment plant, by overcoming various defects of the conventional treating methods, without using a large amount of oxidizing agent, and in a relatively mild condition, thereby reducing facility cost and treatment cost. <P>SOLUTION: In this reducing method of amount of biological sludge, high-pressure carbon dioxide is dissolved in a fine bubble state into suspended liquid of biological sludge generated by active sludge treatment of waste water, the high-pressure carbon dioxide is brought into contact with the suspended liquid of biological sludge, and then the suspended liquid with the high-pressure carbon dioxide removed therefrom is subjected again to the active sludge treatment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
