PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit any data using an existent digital data transmission line reversely to the direction of digital data on said transmission line. SOLUTION: If first data can be transmitted in a predetermined scheme from a first apparatus 1 to a second apparatus 2 via a predetermined transmission line, a first carrier signal composed of signals of frequency bands where signal components to be transmitted in the predetermined scheme are reduced, is modulated with second data obtained in the second apparatus 2, an amplitude on the transmission line is changed on the basis of the modulated first carrier signal within an input impedance change range allowable for the predetermined scheme, and the change of the amplitude is detected in the first apparatus 1, so that the second data can be received.
