PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a portable terminal to edit an image so as to display a plurality of images on one screen. SOLUTION: An image processing method comprises a reception step S11 for receiving an image file; a discrimination step S12 for discriminating whether or not the image file received in the reception step is divided into a plurality of display areas; image pickup steps S17, S18 for picking up an image, when it is discriminated that the image file is divided into the plurality of display areas, in order to obtain an image to be inserted into any one of the plurality of display areas; and a display-out step S18 for displaying out the state of inserting the image obtained in the image pickup steps into the received image file.
