PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an operation situation to be grasped at a glance during an operation such as reproducing or editing. SOLUTION: When a file recorded in a recording medium is reproduced, the time information of each file is read from the recording medium. Files are displayed in a bar graph form on a screen according to the length of recording time of each file. Upon the start of reproducing, a passage of time is calculated. The color or a design of the bar graph of a file being reproduced is changed according to the passage time to be displayed.
