PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brassiere so designed that level difference between upper and lower sides of a back tape is eliminated through forming the back tape so as to have uniform width, a production process of the brassiere is simplified through making the back tape require no hemming, and wearing feeling is improved, traces of the brassiere are not left when worn, and the upper and lower sides of the back tape are not seen through an upper garment. SOLUTION: The brassiere 10 comprises the following: right and left cup parts 11; right and left front fabrics 12 extending to the armpit side while the lower half parts of the fabrics are joined to each other; a tape-state back tape 13 formed so as to go around from both ends of the front fabric to the back of a wearer; and shoulder straps 14. The brassiere has the following structure: the back tape 13 comprises a selvage-containing woven tape obtained by being woven while gradually altering its width without changing total number of warp yarns and having stretchable elasticity in a warp yarn direction so that one selvage forms the upper side of the back tape, and the other selvage forms the lower side of the back tape.
