PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the mechanical properties of a wholly aromatic polyamide fiber. SOLUTION: The wholly aromatic polyamide resin composition comprises 100 pts. wt. wholly aromatic polyamide mainly consisting of the structural units (A) -NH-Ar<SP>1</SP>-NH- and (B) -OC-Ar<SP>2</SP>-CO- (wherein Ar<SP>1</SP>and Ar<SP>2</SP>are each independently a divalent 6 to 20C aromatic group) and 0.01 to 3 pts. wt. fullerene compound.
