PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive image forming device having an automatic document carrying device having a simple constitution, and causing no bend of a document. SOLUTION: This image forming device has the automatic document carrying device, and is constituted so that a control means has an ordinary mode of performing ordinary carrying control for carrying the document with every one sheet from a document bundle having the same side of the document and a mixed loading mode of performing carrying control for carrying the document with every one sheet from the document bundle mixedly loaded with the document different in the size, and performs the carrying control for stopping the document after first preset time passes after detecting a rear end part of the document by a document detecting sensor when performing the ordinary mode, and performs the carrying control by second preset time of setting time longer than the first preset time instead of the first preset time when performing the mixedly loading mode.
