The electrical plug (1) has two conducting pins (3,4) which can engage in an electrical equipment or power supply socket. The two pins are spring-loaded (7) toward a retracted position. The pins are moved outward by cams (19) engaging their inner ends (6). The cams are operated by a lever (8) with an eye (21) at the end. The cam and inner parts of the pins (14) are enclosed in a housing (2). Flanges (15) on the pins engage in cutouts in the end face (13) of the plug.
