摘要 <p>Disclosed is a glass composition having a light-emitting function and light-amplifying function in a wide wavelength range. This glass composition contains a bismuth oxide, an aluminum oxide and a glass network former whose main component is a germanium dioxide. Bismuth contained in the bismuth oxide functions as an emission species, and produces fluorescence in the infrared region when irradiated with excitation light. This glass composition may further contain a monovalent or divalent metal oxide.</p>
