METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ESTIMATING FREQUENCY OFFSET, AND RECEIVER UTILIZING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the estimation accuracy of the frequency offset. SOLUTION: A transmission line characteristics estimating unit 80 estimates the transmission characteristics in the section of an LTS. A frequency-offset estimator 82 estimates the frequency offset, based on a transmission line characteristics signal 206. A multiplier 88 corrects the frequency offset contained in a base band received signal 202 in a phase reflecting the frequency offset outputted from the multiplier 92. An FFT 84 applies an FFT processing to the base band received signal 202, corrected with respect to its frequency offset to output a signal in a frequency band. A receiving weight calculating unit 86 estimates the receiving weight vector, based on the transmission line characteristics signal 206. A multiplier 94 multiplies the FFT-processed signal by the reception weight vector.
