PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic charge image developing toner used in developing an electrostatic latent image in an electrophotographic method, electrostatic recording method, electrostatic printing method, etc., for establishing sufficiently low-temperature fixability and a wide range of a fixing temperature region and obtaining a good high-fineness images. SOLUTION: The electrostatic charge image developing toner is prepared by dissolving or dispersing a compound (A) having an active hydrogen group, a composition (B) including a component having an area reactable with the compound having the active hydrogen group and a colorant into at least an organic solvent, dispersing the solution or dispersion in an aqueous medium to cause the reaction of the compound (A) having the active hydrogen group and the composition (B) including the component having the area reactable with the compound (A), then or while causing the reaction, removing the organic solvent, and cleaning and drying the reaction product. At least one component in the composition (B) is a compound (C) in which the areas reactable with the compound having the active hydrogen group exist at≥3 pieces per molecule.
