PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printed wiring board wherein a resistance element having an accurate resistance value is incorporated in high mounting efficiency. SOLUTION: The printed wiring board 10 is provided with an insulating layer 13, a first conductor pattern 22 formed on one side surface of the insulating layer 13, a second conductor pattern 23 formed on the other side surface thereof, and a resistance element 30<SB>j</SB>having at least one resistor 32<SB>jk</SB>that is embedded in the insulating layer 13 and of which one side edge is electrically connected with the conductor pattern 22 and the other side edge is electrically connected with the conductor pattern 23. Because of such the structure, when etching is conducted to form the conductor patterns 22 and 23, the resistor 32<SB>jk</SB>can be prevented from being eroded, and a printed wiring board can be realized wherein a resistance element having high accurate resistance value is built in.
