PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate piping work required for installation of a fire extinguisher for extinguishing a stationary induction unit when it is installed in a building. SOLUTION: A cooler 16 and a fire extinguisher 12 are secured to the tank 14 of a stationary induction unit 10, the fire extinguisher 12 is connected with piping 36, and an on/off valve 38 is provided in the way of the piping 36. Upon occurrence of fire, the on/off valve 38 is opened by delivering a fire extinguishing command to the on/off valve 38 from a controller in a control box 24 and fire extinguishing agent in the fire extinguisher 12 is jetted upward of the stationary induction unit 10 through the piping 36 and a discharge opening 40.
