PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming method by a KNC process in which an image exposure is implemented from inside, thereby improving color reproducibility. SOLUTION: In a color image forming method, an image forming body 10 is electrified, an image exposure is performed from the backside of the image forming body 10, and toner images are overlapped by repetition of reversal development. The two-color exposure when forming a secondary color with the maximum density, is executed so that it is generally the same as the electric potential contrast by the exposure when forming a primary color with the maximum density.
