PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing leather which has flexibility, fastness and high minimum temperature of heat shrinkage and suitable for inkjet dyeing and providing leather dyed by inkjet. SOLUTION: The leather dyed by inkjet is obtained in the following processes, a process stuffing white leather material which is obtained by a pre-tanning and a tanning process, by a synthetic oil obtained from petroleum, additionally tanning with 0.1-1.0% by mass of a chromium based tanning agent and positively charging the surface of the leather by acidifying the surface with pH of 2.8-3.0 to obtain the leather suitable for inkjet dyeing, dyeing the leather by inkjet printing by an acidic dye comprising at least one or two of sulfonic acid group or carboxylic acid group, forming a thin film of a water repellant resin and then after treating.
