PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain higher striking energy by a technically easy means by improving an electromagnetic driving type driving device to drive a fixing element such as a nail into a base. SOLUTION: An exciting coil 12 is arranged in a housing 11 in the electromagnetic driving type driving device. An armature 14 arranged to displace in a guide 13 can be displaced from an initial position 30 to an end position 32 by the exciting coil 12. At a first stage of a driving operation of the fixed element, an acceleration means 15 is applied to the armature 14 displaced toward the acceleration means 15 from the initial position 30 to an intermediate position 31 by the exciting coil 12. At a second stage of the driving operation, the armature 14 is accelerated from the intermediate position 31 to the end position 32 in the opposite direction by the acceleration means 15.
