PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase convenience in creating documents using copy and paste functions.

SOLUTION: A method for creating documents includes a copied area designation process S21 for designating the original area to be copied; a pasting position designation process S22 for designating a pasting position where the character data copied are pasted; and a pasting method selection process S23 for selecting a pasting method from among a plurality of pasting methods including a first pasting method for pasting character data while reflecting the character attributes of the original and a second pasting method for pasting the character data while reflecting the character attributes of the position where the data are pasted.
